1946 Whizzer

An excellent barn find, this early-numbered 1946 Whizzer Model H was found in Longmont, Colorado through a Facebook Marketplace ad. The seller was clearing out his recently deceased parent’s estate. The engine was missing the rod and piston. The crank was exchanged for a refurbished part. It came with a Model F spring mount which is indicative of an early-numbered engine kit. The bicycle is a 1946 Mercury with a Schwinn springer fork.

It is rough all around, and that’s exactly how it will remain - just cleaned up. The patina and handbuilt touches such as the clearances cut out of the fender, or the pedal crank welds add to it’s story.
